The Department of Labour and Industrial Relations, Employers’ Federation of Papua New Guinea, and the PNG Trade Union Congress in recognising the impact of Covid-19 lockdown on businesses and employment, released a joint communique on 24th March 2020 in an effort to maintain industrial harmony at the workplace during 14-day SoE and lockdown imposed by the government. The specific terms of the understanding signed by the three Social Partners are set out in the attachment.
